Filter Cake Dissolver – CD2

Filter Cake Dissolver - CD2

The RE-CD2 filter cake dissolver is a delayed acid generator utilized for the gradual release of acid. Upon deployment downhole, the RE-CD2 dissolver reacts with water, generating acid, which subsequently dissolves the calcium carbonate and starch present in the filter cake, thereby eliminating fluid damage. The RE-CD2 dissolver product can be distributed across the entire interval before acid generation occurs, thereby enhancing overall clean-up efficiency. Suitable for use in most brines within a temperature range of 75 to 205°F (25 to 95°C), the RE-CD2 dissolver provides break times of up to 16 hours.

Complete filter cake dissolution is essential for openhole completions, especially for long horizontal intervals that demand precise product placement before losses occur.

  • In low-temperature applications, our drilling detergent (RE-PDD) is indispensable for aiding in complete filter cake removal.
